What We Offer

Toddler Classes

This class is geared specifically for the very young child. The activities will include singing, rhythms, following direction, socialization and coordination. The exercises are designed to help these very young students with gross motor skills and an increased attention span.

Age group: 2 - 4 (30 minute class)

Pre-Ballet

This class is geared specifically for the young pre-school child. Basic dance skills will include developing rhythms, hopping, skipping, jumping, learning to follow directions and Choreography. You will notice overall improvement in motor and social skills. The young dancer will also learn Ballet steps and the terminology used. Having fun in a structured and safe environment is a great way to learn!

Age group: 3.5 - Kindergarten

Jazz

Jazz classes move at a fast pace to help increase coordination, stretch and flexibility. An emphasis is put on learning proper technique and terminology. It is exciting and creates a dynamic interest for Dancers ages 7 and up.

Jazz I: 1st - 4th Grade (1st graders must take a summer class to prepare)

Jazz II: 3rd - 6th

MS: Middle School

HS: High School

Tot Hop & Tot Acro

These classes are geared for the very young child. Both classes will work on rhythm, muscle development, coordination skills and body control. The emphasis in Tot Hop will be understanding and following rhythms. The emphasis in Tot Tumble will be on tumbling skills and stretching.

Age group: 3 - Kindergarten (Pre Ballet or Ballet I is a requirement for Tot Hop and Tot Acro)

Ballet

Ballet is the foundation of all dance technique, and therefore highly recommended for all dance students. Ballet promotes correct posture, body placement, grace, poise and turnout. We incorporate terminology and combinations for strength and flexibility.

Ballet I: K - 3rd Grade

Ballet II: 3rd - 6th Grade

MS: Middle School

HS and Advanced: High School (must be placed in advanced)

Tap

Tap is a technique that incorporates the essentials of rhythm and timing. Terminology is stressed as well as footwork and of course, style!

Tap I: K - 3rd Grade

Tap II: 3rd - 6th Grade

MS: Middle School

HS and Advanced: High School (must be placed in advanced)

Lyrical

Lyrical Dance uses movement to express emotion and interpret music. It blends elements of Ballet and Jazz. The concentration in Lyrical will be on fluid movements paired with advanced jumps and turns. A lyrical dancer uses movement to express strong emotions such as love, joy, or anger.

Lyrical I: 3rd - 6th Grade

MS: Middle School

HS: High School

Advanced: 11th and 12th grade (must be placed in this class)

Ballet is a requirement for ALL Lyrical Classes.

Acro

Acrobatics teaches students basic tumbling up to advanced gymnastic tricks. The acro moves are then put into a routine set to music with a jazz style base.

Acro I: 1st - 5th Grade

Acro II: 4th - 8th Grade

Acro III: 4th Grade & up (must be placed in this class)

Jazz is a requirement for ALL Acro classes. Certain skills a re required for placement in class.

Cheer Dance

The dancers will work on the sharp commercial jazz moves needed for any cheerleader and some basic tumbling skills.

Age Group: 1st - 5th Grade

Contemporary/Modern

These classes blend elements such as freedom of expression, interpretation of music, the principles of fall and recovery, control, breathing, balance and contraction / release. This class strengthens the body, and improves balance and flexibility to enhance the student’s performance. 

Modern I: 3rd - 6th Grade

Modern II: Middle & High School

Modern III/Advanced: High School (must be placed in this class)

Contemporary: High School (must be placed in this class)

Pointe

Pointe is designed for students with previous Ballet training. Students will utilize previously learned ballet technique while working in pointe shoes. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work and across the floor combinations. These exercises focus on strengthening the feet and ankles.

Age Group: 7th - 12th grade (Ballet is a requirement)

Hip Hop

Hip-Hop is available for students 5 years old and up. This style offers a great workout, as well as commercial type steps. 

Mini: K - 3rd Grade

Junior: 3rd - 6th Grade

MS: Middle School

HS: High School

Broadway

Adult Class

Adult Class will focus on the styles of Jazz, Hip Hop, and Ballet. This class is the perfect fit for individuals wanting to continue their love of dance AND for those who are just getting started!

Broadway focuses on expanding the student’s experience in dance, acting and singing. This class will help your child become more confident by nurturing artistic elements, discipline and personal growth.

Age Group: 3rd Grade & up

Dance Teams

Mini Ensemble Performance Team       
Ages 3rd- 6th grades (Holiday Performances – NU halftime and one dance Competition). Ballet and Jazz classes are a requirement. Parade Performances are Required.

Junior Ensemble Performance Team  
Ages 6th – 8th grades (Holiday Performances – NU halftime and one dance Competition). Ballet and Jazz classes are a requirement. Parade Performances are Required. 

Senior Ensemble Performance Team
HS age – (Holiday Performances – NU halftime and one dance Competition, Parades). Ballet, Technique and Jazz classes are a requirement. Parade Performances are Required.

Mini Competition Team  
Ages 3rd – 6th grades. Ballet and Technique classes are a requirement. Your Child must be INVITED onto this Team (The studio will contact you). Parade Performances are required.

Junior, Teen and Senior Competition Teams   
Ballet and Technique classes are requirements. Your Child must be INVITED onto these Teams (The studio will contact you). Parade Performances are Required.
