  • Miss Kayla

    GRAND ISLAND DANCE MANAGER

    With a lifelong passion for dance, Miss Kayla began her training at Lewiston Dance Center at the age of 6, specializing in jazz, ballet, hip hop, and tap. Her desire to teach dance became evident early on, as she started demonstrating at age 11. 

    In 2004, Grand Island Dance opened, where Miss Kayla became a lead teacher and eventually took on a management role. To further her expertise, she has attended numerous Dance Teacher Conventions, learning cutting-edge techniques from leading educators to bring back to her students. She has been a primary instructor at both Lewiston Dance Center and Grand Island Dance Center for many years. 

    Currently, Miss Kayla teaches a variety of classes and coaches the competition teams at Grand Island Dance. With over two decades of experience, Miss Kayla has earned multiple choreography and technique awards for her competitive dance pieces.

  • Miss Angelina

    LEWISTON DANCE MANAGER

    Miss Angelina started as a competitive gymnast at the age of 5 before starting her dance career at the age of 9. She specialized in various styles of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary and lyrical.

    While pursing her degree in Communication at the University at Buffalo, Miss Angelina began her teaching career at the young age of 18. It is then she realized her passion for educating young dancers. Miss Angelina has coached both competition and ensemble teams, earning awards for technique and choreography with her teams. She loves seeing her dancers make her choreography their own, and how they breathe life into each piece.

    Miss Angelina began teaching at Lewiston & Grand Island Dance Center in 2022 and since 2023, Miss Angelina has served as the Studio Manager at Lewiston Dance Center. She loves being part of our Dance Family and sharing her passion for dance with her students!

  • Miss Lauren

    LEWISTON DANCE MANGER & TEAMS DIRECTOR

    Miss Lauren has been dancing since the age of 3. She began her training at Lewiston Dance Center where she trained in ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, and modern. Throughout high school, she assisted in classes and discovered her passion for teaching.

    Since 2023, she has taken on the role of Teams Director managing all of our Competition and Ensemble Teams. She also coaches the three Lewiston Ensemble Teams, the Mini Competition Team, and the Senior Ensemble Team at Grand Island Dance Center.

    With years of experience both in and out of the studio, Miss Lauren is committed to creating a positive and challenging environment for her dancers. She loves watching her students grow—not only as performers but as confident, passionate individuals.

Our Mission

At Grand Island Dance and Lewiston Dance Centers our mission is to design dance classes that cultivate strength, balance, grace, poise, rhythm, and, above all, self-confidence. Our classes are structured to help students develop essential life skills such as time management, teamwork, responsibility, and a strong work ethic. We are committed to providing a relaxed and supportive environment where a love for dance can flourish and become a lasting, positive influence in our students' lives.

National Dance Honor Society Members

Lewiston & Grand Island Dance are an official sponsor of a National Honor Society for Dance Arts Chapter! The National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA) is a program dedicated to recognizing dance students for their outstanding artistic merit, leadership, and academic achievement for dance as a true form of art that is worthy of recognition and prestige. Our chapter is open to ALL student’s 9th - 12th grade! We host a banquet for all inducted students to celebrate their work and dedication to dance. Students will also get a certificate and cords to wear at their high school graduation.

Students must meet the following requirements to be inducted into the NHSDA:
*Have a GPA of at least a 3.0 (equivalent to an 83 average).
*Earn 30 points from; taking dance classes, participating in performances, and participating in school plays/musicals.
